Ground Check and Data Integration: BPS Strategies for Optimized Social Assistance Distribution

The Vice Chief Statistician of BPS RI, Sonny Harry Budiutomo Harmadi, delivered a presentation on the dynamics and strengthening of the National Single Social and Economic Data (DTSEN) during a Working Meeting of Commission IX of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) in Jakarta (15/4).

During the forum, Sonny emphasized that social assistance interventions, including the National Health Insurance Premium Assistance Recipient (PBI-JKN) program, have relied on the DTSEN to ensure the accuracy of targeting.

BPS, together with relevant ministries and agencies, continues to update data and conduct field checks to improve the accuracy of PBI-JKN targeting. Findings in the field indicate that the dynamics of community welfare can change rapidly, necessitating an adaptive data system.

Through strengthened data integration and cross-sectoral collaboration, social protection programs are expected to operate more effectively and with greater precision.
