Held at Sasana Bhakti Praja, Ministry of Home Affairs, the Chief Statistician of Statistics Indonesia (BPS) RI, Amalia Adininggar Widyasanti, attended the Coordination Meeting on the Acceleration of Post-Disaster Rehabilitation and Reconstruction in Sumatra (15/1).
The meeting was attended by Ministers and Heads of Institutions who are members of the Task Force for the Acceleration of Post-Disaster Rehabilitation and Reconstruction in Sumatra, as well as the Governors of the three affected provinces, such as Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra. The session presented the task distribution and working mechanisms of the task force, including priority areas for accelerating post-disaster recovery.
The Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Cultural Affairs (Menko PMK), Pratikno, as Chair of the Task Force Steering Committee, emphasized that Single Data would serve as a critical foundation for post-disaster rehabilitation and reconstruction. He stated that the priority data to be completed by BPS is the validation and verification of data on affected housing. Echoing this view, the Coordinating Minister for Social Empowerment (Menko PM), Muhaimin Iskandar, noted that with proper data consolidation, disaster response and recovery efforts can be carried out more effectively.
On the same occasion, the Minister of Home Affairs, Tito Karnavian, as Chair of the Task Force Implementing Committee, urged all sectors to continue carrying out their respective duties optimally so that each affected region can recover promptly.
