The Chief Statistician of Statistics Indonesia (BPS) RI, Amalia Adininggar Widyasanti, conducted on-site inspection of the Post-Disaster Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Planning Data Collection in Aceh Tamiang Regency, one of the areas severely affected by the disaster (17/1). Accompanied by the Inspector General of BPS, Dadang Hardiwan, this visit aimed to ensure that the data collection process was carried out in accordance with established methodologies and standards, thereby guaranteeing the accuracy of the statistical data and ensuring that no affected households were left unrecorded.
During the visit, Amalia observed the field data collection process and engaged in discussions with respondents as well as Polstat STIS students undertaking fieldwork assignments as enumerators. She underscored the importance of professionalism, accuracy, and a humane approach in gathering information from the community.
“We observed several stages of the field data collection process today. The Politeknik Statistika STIS students have demonstrated strong competence in data collection, as reflected in the way they conducted interviews,” Amalia stated.
The results of the data collection will subsequently serve as the core database for the Sumatra Disaster Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Task Force, enabling the formulation of targeted and effective interventions.
