Strengthening Synergy between Statistics Indonesia (BPS) and Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources

Chief Statistician of Statistics Indonesia (BPS) RI, Amalia Adininggar Widyasanti, signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Bahlil Lahadalia, regarding synergy in the fields of energy, mineral resources, and statistics. This event was conducted at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources Office in Jakarta, on October, 14.

This strategic collaboration between the two institutions plays a crucial role in providing credible and transparent energy statistics as a basis for accurate, thorough, and sustainable decision-making.

“Through accurate and standardized data, we ensure that Indonesia's energy and mineral resources policies are formulated based on strong evidence. High-quality and meaningful statistics will have a real impact on the progress of society and national development,” Amalia said in her speech.

“BPS is the only government institution mandated by the President to present official and reliable statistical data,” Bahlil stated in his remarks.

This collaboration strengthens the synergy between BPS and the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources in providing accurate, relevant energy, and mineral resource statistics, supporting the development of more effective policies, and promoting sustainable development in Indonesia.
