BPS Strengthens Collaboration with Special Economic Zones and Industrial Estates to Enhance Data Accuracy

August 13, 2025 | Other Activities

Kendal, 26 July — Statistics Indonesia (BPS) reaffirmed its commitment to delivering timely and accurate data, particularly in the industrial sector, through a strategic working visit to Kendal Special Economic Zone (SEZ), Batang Industropolis SEZ, and Seafer Industrial Estate. The visit was led by BPS Chief Statistician Amalia Adininggar Widyasanti, accompanied by Acting Principal Secretary Moh Edy Mahmud, and aimed at strengthening collaboration with key business stakeholders.

Special Economic Zones and industrial estates are pivotal drivers of both regional and national economic growth. To ensure that every economic activity within these areas is accurately reflected in official statistics, BPS is expanding its data coverage to fully capture business dynamics and economic trends over time.

BPS encourages continued support from SEZ and industrial estate management, as well as from companies operating within these zones, to provide accurate and truthful quarterly data. This collaboration is essential for producing comprehensive economic insights that inform policy and development planning.
