Strengthening DTSEN Through Inter-Institutional Synergy for Enhanced Policy Accuracy
March 30, 2026 | BPS Activities
Statistics Indonesia (BPS) reaffirmed its commitment to updating the National Single Social and Economic Data (DTSEN) through the “Presidential Priority Program Collaboration for DTSEN Updates and Human Resource Development Toward Economic Self-Reliance” event held at Bale Sawala Yudistira, Purwakarta Regency, on Saturday (14/3). This initiative, launched by the Ministry of Social Affairs, aims to enhance the accuracy and integration of data on social assistance beneficiaries down to the village level as part of the implementation of Presidential Instruction No. 4 of 2025 regarding DTSEN.
The Chief Statistician of BPS RI, Amalia Adininggar Widyasanti, attended the event alongside the Minister of Social Affairs, Saifullah Yusuf (Gus Ipul), along with officials from the central and local governments. The event opened with remarks from Purwakarta Regent Saepul Bahri Binzein, who expressed the local government’s support for the DTSEN update efforts. In his remarks, Gus Ipul explained that the methods used by BPS are based on statistical science and carried out by experts. Therefore, the government asked all parties to entrust the assessment process to BPS.
Amalia emphasized that BPS is responsible for ensuring the quality of the DTSEN as the basis for policy formulation. “Our task is to ensure that the DTSEN truly serves as a single source of data whose accuracy can be guaranteed. Essentially, the DTSEN will continue to be updated and its accuracy improved so that it becomes a robust database for more targeted policy interventions,” Amalia said in her presentation.
Through collaboration among ministries, agencies, and local governments, BPS hopes that DTSEN updates can proceed more effectively so that various government social programs become increasingly targeted.
