July 31, 2025 | Other Activities
Statistics Indonesia (BPS) and the Provincial Government of Bangka Belitung Islands officially signed a strategic Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) to strengthen the regional data ecosystem. This is a concrete step toward precise, inclusive, and impactful development in terms of providing and strengthening quality data, supporting the Economic Census 2026 and the National Single Social and Economic Data (DTSEN), data literacy and One Data Indonesia, as well as cross-sector collaboration.
"Data is not merely a collection of numbers, but a true representation of societal dynamics and a basis for precise policymaking," Chief Statistician of Statistics Indonesia, Amalia Adininggar Widyasanti said in her speech. Hidayat Arsani, Governor of Bangka Belitung Islands also emphasized that data serves as the compass of development, asserting that local governments cannot formulate strong policies without robust data.
