Collaboration between Statistics Indonesia (BPS) and Regional Government (Pemda) for More Targeted Development

November 11, 2025 | Other Activities

Statistics Indonesia (BPS) continues to strive to provide statistical data and information that bring tangible benefits to society. Through the National Single Social and Economic Data (DTSEN), for instance, the identification of community school students can be carried out more accurately, and the distribution of social assistance and housing aid can be better targeted.

During the Coordination Meeting for the Synchronization of Ministry/LPNK and Regional Government Programs for 2025 held at IPDN Jatinangor Campus, on October 29, Chief Statistician of Statistics Indonesia (BPS) RI, Amalia Adininggar Widyasanti, emphasized that BPS offices are always open particularly at the national, provincial, and district/city levels.

Addressing the Regional Secretaries (Sekda) and Head of Regional Development Planning Agencies (Bappeda) from across Indonesia, she encouraged local governments to visit, engage in discussions, and collaborate in utilizing BPS data for better planning and policymaking. BPS offices at all levels offer various data services, such as the Integrated Statistical Service (PST), official website, and the reliable AllStat application to support local governments in meeting their statistical data needs.

Furthermore, BPS also welcomes collaboration in updating the DTSEN, as has been implemented in Surabaya City and Siak Regency. The data matching process has been carefully prepared by BPS, reflecting its commitment to producing high-quality, unified data which serves as a foundation for more targeted development and greater public welfare.
