Strengthening Collaboration between Statistics Indonesia (BPS) and the Indonesian National Police (POLRI)
October 1, 2025 | Other Activities
Chief Statistician of Statistics Indonesia (BPS), Amalia Adininggar Widyasanti, together with Chief of the Indonesian National Police (Polri), Listyo Sigit Prabowo, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on August 16. The signing ceremony was also attended by senior officials from both institutions.
On this occasion, Chief Statistician of Statistics Indonesia and Chief of the Indonesian National Police discussed various challenges of the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program, which require joint attention.
Indeed, with the 2026 Economic Census (SE2026) approaching, Amalia expressed hope for strong synergy and support from the Indonesian National Police in implementing SE2026, which will be conducted nationally from May 1 to July 31, 2026. One of the supports is the assistance of SE2026 security personnel to safeguard census officers in vulnerable areas. On the other hand, Listyo expressed his expectation that BPS will continue to deliver precise and reliable data, enabling Polri’s programs to accurately target the demographic segments of society.
With the signing of this MoU, BPS and Polri reaffirm their commitment to strengthening inter-agency collaboration under a shared vision and mission: to implement national programs that enhance public welfare and contribute to the goal of a more advanced Indonesia.
