June 23, 2025 | Other Activities

From June 16 to 20, 2025, Statistics Indonesia (BPS) and the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) hold a joint workshop on “Integrating Business Statistics Processes, Infrastructure and Methodology to Meet National Accounts Requirements.”

The workshop was officially opened by BPS’s Principal Inspector and Executive Sponsor of the BPS-ABS Cooperation, Dadang Hardiwan. The ABS delegation, comprising four members, was led by Summer Wang, Assistant Director of the Methodologist Division.

Throughout the five-day workshop, representatives from various cross-functional BPS teams and the ABS will engage in intensive, interactive discussions. Key topics included the provision of data to support the compilation of National Accounts, methodologies and business processes related to the Statistical Business Register (SBR), the Economic Wide Survey (EWS), the 2026 Economic Census (SE2026), development of integrated statistical systems, and the implementation of risk management frameworks.

This collaborative initiative marks another milestone in the growing partnership between BPS and ABS, reflecting a shared commitment to advancing statistical methodologies and infrastructure.
