April 25, 2025 | Other Activities
Chief Statistician of Statistics Indonesia, Amalia Adininggar Widyasanti, accompanied by Vice Chief Statistician Sonny Harry B. Harmadi and Acting Principal Secretary Moh. Edy Mahmud, attended the signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and Cooperation Agreement with the Ministry of Investment/Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) on April 24. The event took place at the Suhartoyo Building, BKPM Headquarters.
The collaboration formalizes two key documents: an MoU and a Cooperation Agreement on the provision, utilization, and development of statistical data and/or information related to investment and downstream industries.
In her remarks, Amalia emphasized the vital role of investment in driving Indonesia’s economic growth. "Nearly 30 percent of Indonesia's economic growth is contributed by investment," she stated. "This highlights the central role of investment in powering our economy forward." She added that through this partnership, BPS aims to gain access to more accurate and up-to-date investment data, enabling the agency to contribute more effectively toward building a resilient, intelligent, and data-driven Indonesia.
Echoing Amalia’s sentiments, Minister of Investment and Head of BKPM, Rosan Roeslani, expressed hope that this collaboration would help the ministry achieve the investment targets set by the President.
