The Chief Statistician of BPS RI, Amalia Adininggar Widyasanti, and the Vice Chief Statistician of BPS RI, Sonny Harry Budiutomo Harmadi, coordinated with the Minister of Social Affairs on Monday (13/4) at the Ministry of Social Affairs to discuss the update of the National Single Social and Economic Data (DTSEN) as the basis for the distribution of social assistance in the second quarter of 2026. This meeting underscored the role of DTSEN as a statistical database in ensuring that social assistance is more targeted and supports various government intervention programs.
In DTSEN Volume 2 of 2026, BPS updated the data coverage to approximately 95.3 million households or 289.3 million individuals, including updates to demographic data and field verification results. This update also resulted in a reduction in inclusion errors to approximately 0.06 percent and improvements in the welfare classification of tens of thousands of households.
