November 28, 2025 | Other Activities
Ahead of the Christmas and New Year holidays, the Minister of Trade (Kemendag) RI, Budi Santoso, together with the Chief Statistician of Statistics Indonesia (BPS) RI, Amalia Adininggar Widyasanti, conducted an on-site inspection of basic commodity prices at Cihapit Market, Bandung City (20/11). Extreme weather conditions and price fluctuations of several commodities are currently key concerns.
The Chief Statistician of Statistics Indonesia (BPS) RI explained, “Inflation of volatile food commodities remains under control.” BPS RI continues to support the government by providing accurate, up-to-date, and comprehensive data, one of which is through the weekly calculation of the Price Development Index (IPH), as a signal or early detection of inflation figures, which are also calculated by BPS on a monthly basis.
With up-to-date and accurate data, the government can immediately intervene to maintain national food price stability.
