Heading to SE2026: BPS Strengthens Strategy, Technology, and National Collaboration
November 26, 2025 | BPS Activities
The Chief Statistician of Statistics Indonesia (BPS) RI, Amalia Adininggar Widyasanti, emphasized that the 2026 Economic Census (SE2026) is a strategic moment to obtain a more comprehensive picture of the national economic condition. "Complete and accurate data is the foundation for decision making. Both the government and business actors need it to formulate more targeted policies and strategies," Amalia said while closing a series of Technical and Administrative Coordination Meetings, 2025 Activity Evaluations, and Finalization of SE2026 Preparations in Jakarta.
Through this coordination meeting, BPS continues to finalize preparations for SE2026. This activity serves as a national consolidation forum for all BPS officials, from the central to regional levels, to align strategies, ensure operational readiness, and coordinate important stages ahead of the implementation of SE2026 throughout Indonesia.
On the same occasion, BPS received an animation video for SE2026 from the Ministry of Creative Economy (Kemenekraf)/Creative Economy Agency (Bekraf) created by RUS Animation. The video, which is used as a Public Service Announcement for SE2026, was handed over directly by the Minister of Creative Economy, Teuku Riefky Harsya, to the Chief Statistician of Statistics Indonesia (BPS) RI, and was also witnessed by the Vice Chief Statistician of Statistics Indonesia (BPS) RI, Sonny Harry Budiutomo Harmadi, as a form of collaboration between the two institutions. “We interpret this video as a ‘token of friendship’ that we will cherish and, of course, develop together in building this nation,” Amalia stated.
In his speech, the Minister of Creative Economy expressed his appreciation for the strategic cooperation between the two institutions, especially in empowering local animators in the creation of government public communication materials. "We would like to thank BPS, RUS Animation, Djarum Foundation, Blibli, and all partners who collaborated in this process (in producing PSA SE2026). May the entire implementation of SE2026 run smoothly, successfully, and provide great benefits for Indonesia's economic development," he concluded.
