The United Nations (UN) Recognizes Statistics Indonesia (BPS)

The visit of Chief Statistician of Statistics Indonesia (BPS) RI, Amalia Adininggar Widyasanti and Vice Chief Statistician of Statistics Indonesia (BPS) RI, Sonny Harry Budiutomo Harmadi to the United Nations (UN) Indonesia Office on October, 8 was an important moment for BPS. The UN recognized the strategic role of BPS in strengthening data-driven and evidence-based national development.

Through this collaboration, BPS is not only a national data provider but also part of a global ecosystem driving sustainable development from big data, migration, food security, to the use of AI.

Indonesia is now entrusted to host the UN Regional Big Data Hub for Asia and the Pacific, reinforcing BPS's position as centre of data innovation in the region.

Because behind every number lies the future of Indonesia that we strive to build together.
