July 30, 2025 | Other Activities
In order to strengthen cross-sector collaboration to support inclusive and equitable development, Statistics Indonesia (BPS) and the Ministry of Villages and Development of Disadvantaged Regions (Kemendes PDT) officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Wednesday (23/7) at Kemendes PDT Office. This strategic initiative is an important part of efforts to accelerate the achievement of the 6th Asta Cita, building from villages and from below for economic equality and poverty eradication.
The Memorandum of Understanding was signed by Chief Statistician of Statistics Indonesia (BPS), Amalia Adininggar Widyasanti, and the Minister of Villages and Development of Disadvantaged Regions, Yandri Susanto. Both parties agreed that the provision of accurate and comprehensive data serves as an important foundation in designing well-targeted and sustainable policies for village and disadvantaged area development.
The collaboration between BPS and the Ministry of Villages and Development of Disadvantaged Regions is an important milestone in building a strong and integrated data ecosystem to encourage more inclusive and sustainable village development. By integrating the power of statistical data and village development policies, this collaboration is expected to accelerate poverty reduction, minimize regional disparities, and create targeted village development governance. Cross-sector synergy like this must be continuously strengthened to ensure that development transformation is truly rooted from the village and provide tangible benefits for all Indonesians.
