KBLI 2025: Capturing Changes, Strengthening the Data Foundation of Tourism Sector
July 14, 2026 | Other Activities
The 2025 Indonesia Standard Industrial Classification (KBLI 2025) was introduced to ensure that business classifications keep pace with the increasingly dynamic economic landscape, including digital transformation, changing travel patterns, and the emergence of new business models in the tourism sector. This update enables business activities to be recorded more accurately, providing a stronger foundation for statistical production and evidence-based policymaking, while also supporting the implementation of risk-based business licensing through the Online Single Submission (OSS) system. Adjustments to KBLI codes are carried out automatically, ensuring that business actors do not face additional administrative burdens as long as the nature of their business activities remains unchanged.
These issues were discussed during the event of The Transformation of KBLI 2025 for the Tourism Sector in the Implementation of Integrated Risk-Based Business Licensing (PBBR) through the OSS System, organized by the Ministry of Tourism in Jakarta (8/7). The event was attended by the Chief Statistician of BPS RI, Amalia Adininggar Widyasanti; the Vice Minister of Tourism of the Republic of Indonesia, Ni Luh Enik Ermawati; as well as representatives from ministries, government agencies, and the business community, reflecting a shared commitment to supporting the implementation of KBLI 2025.
