February 18, 2026 | Other Activities
As the Data Management Coordinator for the Task Force for the Acceleration of Rehabilitation and Reconstruction in Aceh, North Sumatera, and West Sumatera, Statistics Indonesia (BPS) has submitted the validated data of prospective recipients for disaster-related housing assistance. Up to now, BPS has completed the data matching process for 46 of the 52 affected districts across the three provinces, while the remaining 6 districts did not submit data proposals. From this reconciliation process, a total of 27,173 families have been validated and verified as priority recipients for housing stimulant grants.
During a press conference on the progress of post-disaster rehabilitation and reconstruction in Sumatera, held in Jakarta (11/2), the Chief Statistician of BPS RI, Amalia Adininggar Widyasanti, explained that the development of the Sumatera Unified Disaster Data is a strategic government initiative. This effort aims to accelerate post-disaster handling and recovery through the provision of accurate, integrated, and centralized data.
Based on the data consolidation results from 25 districts which were formally ratified through a tripartite agreement (between the regional heads, chief prosecutors, and district police chiefs), a total of 28,259 unique households (representing 94,642 individuals) were identified. Of that total, 27,173 households were confirmed to have sustained house damage, representing 96.16% of the total recorded households as of February 10, 2026.
