Statistics Indonesia Holds Ceremony to Commemorate Pancasila Day
June 3, 2025 | Other Activities
In a reaffirmation of commitment to the fundamental principles of Pancasila—the ideological foundation of the Republic of Indonesia—Statistics Indonesia (BPS) organized a ceremony on Monday, June 2, to commemorate the Birth of Pancasila. This year’s event adopted the theme “Reinforcing Pancasila Ideology Towards a Greater Indonesia.” The ceremony took place in the courtyard of BPS Building 3 and was attended by all officials and employees of the Statistics Indonesia headquarters.
Acting as the ceremony’s presiding officer, Moh Edy Mahmud, Acting Principal Secretary, delivered the official speech on behalf of the Head of the Pancasila Ideology Development Agency (BPIP). Edy encouraged participants to reflect on Pancasila’s role as the unifying foundation for Indonesia’s diverse population. Pancasila unites over 270 million people representing various ethnicities, religions, races, cultures, and languages.
“Let us ensure that the commemoration of Pancasila Day goes beyond ceremony to become a moment of strengthening our dedication to the nation’s noble values. Let every decision, policy, word, and action embody the spirit of Pancasila,” Edy stated during his address.
