Celebrating National Statistics Day 2024 with a Nationwide Ceremony and Festivities

Jakarta, September 26, 2024 — Today, Indonesia commemorates National Statistics Day (HSN) 2024, an annual event dedicated to highlighting the importance of statistical contributions in national development. To mark this occasion, BPS-Statistics Indonesia held a synchronized flag ceremony across all its offices nationwide, including its headquarters and the Economic Agriculture Survey Coordination Meeting location.

In her address, BPS’ Acting Chief Statistician Amalia Adininggar Widyasanti emphasized the need for collective efforts in building a strong national statistical system. “BPS-Statistics Indonesia cannot advance national statistics on its ownself. This year’s national statistics celebration should be a reminder of the need to strengthen statistical collaboration at all levels, both central and regional,” she stated.

Following the ceremony, BPS-Statistics Indonesia hosted the "Statistics Day Festival 2024" at its headquarters, providing an opportunity for employees to showcase their creativity and enthusiasm. To further honor the occasion, BPS-Statistics Indonesia also held the HSN 2024 Awards at the Grand Mercure Kemayoran Hotel, celebrating and recognizing key stakeholders for their invaluable support in advancing Indonesia’s statistical landscape.
