On Kartini Day (April 21), the Chief Statistician of Statistics Indonesia (BPS), Amalia Adininggar Widyasanti, and the Minister of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection, Arifatul Choiri Fauzi, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) focused on the Provision, Use, and Development of Gender and Child-related Statistical Data and Information. The ceremony took place at the RA Kartini Hall, Ministry of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection (KemenPPPA) Building. This partnership aims to strengthen data collaboration between ministries, promoting a more inclusive, equitable, and supportive environment for women and children.

The MoU highlights BPS's strong commitment to supporting women's empowerment and child protection efforts in Indonesia. "This agreement updates a previous MoU. BPS has already partnered with KemenPPPA in projects like the Family Quality Index, Child Protection Index, and other data initiatives. Through this renewed MoU, BPS will continue to support these efforts and contribute to refining policies for KemenPPPA. BPS will also focus on developing and improving gender- and age-specific data," Amalia said during a press conference after the signing.
