Together with Empowered Women, Delivering Quality Data to Build Indonesia’s Economy
July 14, 2026 | BPS Activities
Statistics Indonesia (BPS), in collaboration with the Ministry of Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection (PPPA) and PT Permodalan Nasional Madani (PNM), officially launched the Kickoff for BPS, the Ministry of Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection, and PNM Collaboration for the 2026 Economic Census (SE2026) at PNM Headquarters in Kuningan, Jakarta, on Friday (3/7). Carrying the theme “Empowering Women to Build Indonesia’s Economy,” the event marked a strategic initiative to expand public outreach for SE2026 and encourage the participation of women entrepreneurs in generating high-quality economic data.
The event was attended by the Chief Statistician of BPS RI, Amalia Adininggar Widyasanti; the Minister of Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection, Arifah Fauzi; and the President Director of PNM, Kindaris. In her remarks, the Chief Statistician of BPS RI expressed appreciation to all PNM offices, both at the national and regional levels, for their participation and data submission for SE2026. Amalia emphasized that the success of the census requires support of all stakeholders to ensure that the data produced can serve as a solid foundation for formulating effective and targeted economic development policies. Through this collaboration, BPS expects to broaden the reach of SE2026 outreach efforts, particularly among millions of PNM Mekaar customers across Indonesia.
The event also featured an interactive Zoom session involving regional BPS offices, regional PNM offices, PNM Empowerment Personnel, and PNM Mekaar customers. During the session, Amalia reminded the public to remain vigilant against individuals falsely claiming to be census officers by ensuring that official enumerators carry an assignment letter, wear BPS attributes, and present their identification cards. She also encouraged all business actors to uphold the TIR principles, which consist of Accept SE2026 officers, Fill-in the accurate data, and Protect data confidentiality as a form of active participation in ensuring the success of the SE2026.
