The Collaboration of BPS and DEN

The Statistics Indonesia (BPS) Chief Statistician, Amalia Adininggar Widyasanti, accompanied by the m High-Rank Officials of BPS, attended the Signing Ceremony of the Cooperation Agreement between BPS and the National Economic Council (DEN) at Gunawarman Samisara, Jakarta, on March 20.

Two documents were signed: a Memorandum of Understanding and a Cooperation Agreement concerning the Provision, Utilization, and Development of Data and/or Statistical Information in the Economic and Social Sectors.

The Executive Secretary of DEN, Septian Hario Seto, expressed his appreciation to BPS, stating, “The role of BPS, which holds rich data, is highly instrumental for DEN’s future work.” Meanwhile, the Chair of DEN, Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, in his remarks, considered the signing of these documents a game changer for governance. “BPS data is a game changer, especially with the integration of data across ministries/agencies to support the President’s directive on the Government Technology program,” said Luhut.
