The Synergy between BPS, the Ministry of National Development Planning (Bappenas), and the National Nutrition Agency (BGN)
April 10, 2025 | Other Activities
Statistics Indonesia (BPS) remains committed to building a stronger and more effective data system. This effort is part of its support for national development programs, including President Prabowo’s priority initiative assigned to the National Nutrition Agency (BGN), namely the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program.
Through collaboration with BGN, BPS supports efforts to optimize the fulfillment of national nutrition in a planned and systematic manner through accurate and reliable statistical data and information. A memorandum of understanding (MoU) signing ceremony between BPS and BGN was held at the Ministry of National Development Planning (Bappenas) office on Thursday (March 27). The MoU was signed by BPS Chief Statistician, Amalia Adininggar Widyasanti, and the Head of BGN, Dadan Hindayana, witnessed by the Minister of National Development Planning, Rachmat Pambudy.
BPS will assess the impact of the MBG program through the National Socio-Economic Survey (Susenas), scheduled for implementation in September 2025. In addition, BPS will conduct a special survey to comprehensively capture the impact of the MBG program.
On the same occasion, a memorandum of understanding was also signed between the Ministry of National Development Planning (Bappenas) and BGN, also concerning the Nutritional Lunch for Student (MBG) Program.
