Human Development Index 2016

HDI figures presented at the national, provincial, and regency/city. Presentation of the HDI according to the region allows each province and regency/ city to know human development map, such as achievement, position, and inter-regional disparities. Thus, it is expected that each region can be motivated to work to improve development performance through the improvement of the population’s basic capacity. The achievement of human development in 2015-2016 shows a significant improvement. Nevertheless, these achievements and progress still leave jobs and tasks that are not light because of the relatively high inequality of inter-regional development achievement.
