Producer Prices Underwent Inflation of 2.59 Percent in Quarter I-2022

Abstract

The composite Producer Price Index (PPI) of the three sectors (Agriculture, Mining and Quarrying, and Manufacturing) in quarter I-2022 rose 2.59 percent against quarter IV-2021 (q-to-q) and increased by 9.06 percent against quarter I-2021 (y-on-y).
The PPI of the Agricultural Sector in quarter I-2022 rose 2.43 percent against quarter IV-2021 (q-to-q) and increased by 7.02 percent against quarter I-2021 (y-on-y).
The PPI Mining and Quarrying Sector in quarter I-2022 rose 7.31 percent compared to quarter IV-2021 (q-to-q) and increased 45.49 percent against quarter I-2021 (y-on-y).
The PPI Manufacturing Sector in quarter I-2022 rose 1.73 percent against quarter IV-2021 (q-to-q) and increased by 4.29 percent against quarter I-2021 (y-on-y).
The PPI for the Electricity and Gas Supply in quarter I-2022 rose 0.24 percent against quarter IV-2021 (q-to-q) and increased by 0.40 percent against quarter I-2021 (y-on-y).
The PPI for the Water Supply in quarter I-2022 rose 0.30 percent compared to quarter IV-2021 (q-to-q) and increased by 0.80 percent against quarter I-2021 (y-on-y).
The PPI for the Passenger Transportation Sector in quarter I-2022 increased by 2.12 percent against quarter IV-2021 (q-to-q) and rose 5.41 percent against quarter I-2021 (y-on-y).
The PPI for the Accommodation and Food Beverage Sector in quarter I-2022 increased by 0.72 percent and 1.08 percent compared to quarter IV-2021 (q-to-q) and quarter I-2021 (y-on-y), respectively.
The PPI for the Education Services sector in quarter I-2022 rose 0.89 percent and 4.17 percent against quarter IV-2021 (q-to-q) and compared to quarter I-2021 (y-on-y), respectively.
The PPI of Health Services Sector in quarter I-2022 rose 0.94 percent against quarter IV-2021 (q-to-q) and increased by 2.68 percent against quarter I-2021 (y-on-y).
