Producer Prices Underwent Inflation of 0.37 Percent in Quarter I-2024

Abstract

The general Producer Price Index (PPI) of the nine sectors in quarter I-2024 rose 0.37 percent against quarter IV-2023 (q-to-q) and decreased by 2.44 percent against quarter I-2023 (y-on-y).
The PPI of the Agriculture, Forestry, and Fishing Sector in quarter I-2024 rose 2.25 percent against quarter IV-2023 (q-to-q) and increased by 6.48 percent against quarter I-2023 (y-on-y).
The PPI of the Mining and Quarrying Sector in quarter I-2024 decreased by 1.47 percent compared to quarter IV-2023 (q-to-q) and decreased by 29.56 percent against quarter I-2023 (y-on-y).
The PPI of the Manufacturing Sector in quarter I-2024 rose 0.92 percent against quarter IV-2023 (q-to-q) and increased by 2.54 percent against quarter I-2023 (y-on-y).
The PPI for the Electricity and Gas Supply in quarter I-2024 rose 0.02 percent against quarter IV-2023 (q-to-q) and increased by 1.88 percent against quarter I-2023 (y-on-y).
The PPI for the Water Supply in quarter I-2024 rose 3.00 percent compared to quarter IV-2023 (q-to-q) and increased by 4.13 percent against quarter I-2023 (y-on-y).
The PPI for the Transportation Sector in quarter I-2024 decreased by 1.74 percent against quarter IV-2023 (q-to-q) and rose 0.49 percent against quarter I-2023 (y-on-y).
The PPI for the Accommodation and Food Beverage Sector in quarter I-2024 increased by 0.75 percent and 2.83 percent compared to quarter IV-2023 (q-to-q) and quarter I-2023 (y-on-y), respectively.
The PPI for the Education Services sector in quarter I-2024 rose 3.57 percent and 7.12 percent against quarter IV-2023 (q-to-q) and compared to quarter I-2023 (y-on-y), respectively.
The PPI of the Health Services Sector in quarter I-2024 rose 0.55 percent against quarter IV-2023 (q-to-q) and increased by 3.48 percent against quarter I-2023 (y-on-y).
