Abstract

In March 2022, the National Wholesale Price Index (WPI) of Indonesia rose by 0.75 percent primarily due to the index of Agriculture Sector, which increased by 1.53 percent.
The price change in March 2022 was contributed mainly by red chilies, oil palms, purebred chicken eggs, liquid petroleum gas, filtered cigarettes with clove, and wheat flours.
The WPI changed 1.49 percent in the 2022 calendar year and 3.54 percent year-on-year.
The WPI of Construction Materials in March 2022 rose by 0.54 percent compared to the previous month, partly due to the increase in prices of steel reinforcement, asphalt, diesel fuel, stone for construction foundation, and sands.
