Abstract

In October 2021, the General Wholesale Price Index (IHPB) National increased by 0.18% compared to September 2021. The highest increase in IHPB occurred in the Mining and Quarrying Sector of 0.67%.
Some commodities that experienced price increases in October 2021 include palm oil, red chilies, cayenne pepper, coal, broiler meat, cooking oil, and filtered kretek cigarettes.
The IHPB change in the 2021 calendar year is 1.83% and the year-to-year IHPB change is 2.87%.
The IHPB for Building/Construction Materials in October 2021 increased by 0.43% compared to the previous month, partly due to the increase in commodity prices for cement, steel, PVC pipes, building foundation stones, and sand.
