Abstract

In April 2020, the National Wholesale Price Index rose by 0.08 percent against March 2020. The highest increase in Wholesale Price Index occurred in the Mining and Quarrying Sector by 0.91 percent.
Some commodities that experienced price increases in April 2020 include soybeans, shallots, ginger, cooking oil, granulated sugar and gold bars.
Changes in Wholesale Price Index in calendar year 2020 amounted to 0.71 percent and year-on-year changes in IHPB of 1.59 percent.
Building Material / Construction Wholesale Price Index in April 2020 increased by 0.23 percent compared to the previous month, partly due to an increase in the price of asphalt commodities, steel roof truss, building construction iron, sand, and concrete steel.
