The August 2005 Consumer Price Index (CPI) was 123.48, or inflated 0.55% from the previous month at 122.81. All indices of expenditure groups increased from the previous month. The foodstuff index changed from 116.09 to 116.25 or inflated 0.14%. prepared food, beverages, cigarette and tobacco from 122.06 to 122.68 or 0.51% inflation. housing, water, electric, gas and fuel increased from 129.17 to 129.83 or 0.51% inflation. clothing from 115.82 to 116.32 or 0.43% inflation. health from 115.93 to 116.47 or 0.47% inflation. education, recreation and sport 128.24 to 132.46 or 3.29% inflation. transport, communication and financial services from 127.28 to 127.39 or 0.09% inflation.
