January 13, 2026 | BPS Activities

As part of efforts to strengthen the National Single Social and Economic Data (DTSEN), Statistics Indonesia (BPS) of North Maluku Province conducted the Launch of DTSEN Update, attended by the Governor of North Maluku, Ms. Sherly Tjoanda Laos, together with the Deputy for Social Statistics of Statistics Indonesia, Dr. Ateng Hartono, SE, M.Si., on Tuesday, 6 January 2026, in West Halmahera Regency.

The launch was preceded by a direct observation of a Village Deliberation Meeting (Musyawarah Desa) in Tedeng Village, as part of the DTSEN data verification and updating process. Village officials carried out data matching for residents in deciles 1 to 4 to ensure the accuracy and validity of social and economic data.

In her remarks, the Governor of North Maluku, Ms. Sherly Tjoanda Laos, emphasized the importance of conducting direct household visits to target beneficiaries to ensure that the data verification process is more accurate and well-targeted. Meanwhile, the Deputy for Social Statistics of Statistics Indonesia, Dr. Ateng Hartono, stated that the updating of DTSEN will be more effective when carried out by trained enumerators, supported by the FASIH application as BPS’s official platform for data collection and updating.

Launch of the DTSEN Update was also marked by the signing of a Cooperation Agreement (PKS) and a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Regional Government and Statistics Indonesia, reflecting a shared commitment to providing up-to-date, integrated, and high-quality social and economic data.

Through this initiative, DTSEN is expected to serve as a strong data foundation to support development planning, implementation, and evaluation in North Maluku Province.
