Synergy in the Provision and Utilization of Statistics for Industrial Estates

Statistics Indonesia (BPS), the National Council for Special Economic Zones (KEK), and the Indonesian Industrial Estates Association (HKI) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding on the provision, utilization, and development of data and statistical information related to KEKs and industrial estates at the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs Office, Jakarta (21/7).
The Memorandum was signed by Acting Principal Secretary of Statistics Indonesia (BPS), Moh. Edy Mahmud; Acting Secretary General of the National Council for Special Economic Zones (KEK), Rizal Edwin Manangsang; and Chairman of the Indonesian Industrial Estates Association (HKI), Akhmad Ma’ruf Maulana. The signing was witnessed in person by Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, Airlangga Hartarto; Minister of National Development Planning/Head of Bappenas, Rachmat Pambudy; and Chief Statistician of Statistics Indonesia (BPS), Amalia Adininggar Widyasanti.
This initiative reflects a concrete commitment in building more integrated and meaningful data ecosystem for planning, monitoring, and evaluating national development. Through cross-institutional collaboration, Statistics Indonesia (BPS) continues to promote transformation toward statistics that are not only accurate but also impactful and relevant for decision-making.
