Supervision of the 2025 Inter-Census Population Survey (SUPAS) in DKI Jakarta

Chief Statistician of Statistics Indonesia (BPS), Amalia Adininggar Widyasanti, directly supervised the implementation of the 2025 Inter-Census Population Survey (SUPAS) in Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta (18/7).

Amalia was accompanied by the Director of Population and Labor Statistics of BPS, the Head of BPS-Statistics DKI Jakarta Province, and the Head of BPS-Statistics of Jakarta Selatan Municipality. This supervision was conducted to ensure that the data collected in the field is truly accurate and reflects the actual conditions in the community. Amalia conducted direct visits with respondents to observe the interview process and gain firsthand insight into the challenges encountered by field enumerators during data collection. “The statistical indicators produced from SUPAS are highly strategic. Therefore, I urge all enumerators to ensure that no data is recorded inaccurately. Everything must reflect the actual situation in the field,” Amalia emphasized.

In addition to conducting field supervision, Chief Statistician of Statistics Indonesia (BPS) also directly monitored the SUPAS monitoring process at BPS-Statistics of Jakarta Selatan Municipality. She reviewed the monitoring system and evaluated the progress of survey implementation. According to her, effective monitoring is essential to ensure that any issues arising in the field can be promptly addressed.

On this occasion, Amalia also delivered a brief instruction for all employees of BPS-Statistics of Jakarta Selatan Municipality and BPS-Statistics DKI Jakarta Province. She expressed her appreciation to for the team’s dedication and encouraged a spirit of collaboration ensuring the successful of implementation for SUPAS 2025 and producing a high quality of data.
