Jakarta - Matching BPS data with the Department of Population and Civil Registration (Dukcapil) of the Ministry of Home Affairs, is one of the activities in the framework of preparing the 2020 Population Census (SP2020). To follow up on the results of data matching that had been done by STST 57th STIS interns, the Directorate of Population and Labor (Duknaker) held a workshop at the Sparks Luxe Hotel, Jakarta.

"We really appreciate all the work of your interns in matching data, because it is quite a lot of work and is very important," said Director of BPS Duknaker, Nurma Midayanti in his remarks at the opening of this event, Thursday (11/21). Nurma added that the use of dukcapil data for the population census has been planned since 2017. "It is quite difficult to get dukcapil data, but with a fairly high struggle, the data can finally be obtained," Nurma said.

The activity that lasted for three effective days was attended by 94 BPS staff, including 45 STIS apprentices 57th generation. The main agenda of this activity was re-verification of dukcapil data which was considered a match by the program. The hope is to minimize errors in the combined data, so that it can be used accurately at the next SP2020 stage.
