Harvest Area, Productivity, and Production of Maize by Province, 2023-2024

1. The main data of food crops collected by BPS-Statistics Indonesia were harvest area and yield. Production is the result of multiplication between harvest area and yield. 2. Since 2020, shelled maize harvested area data has been calculated by using the Area Sampling Frame (ASF) method, replacing the previous method of eye estimate that was collected through the Report of Agricultural Statistics (called SP for Statistik Pertanian) by the Agricultural Extension Officer (called KCD for Kepala Cabang Dinas). 3. The maize yield figures were obtained through a crop-cutting survey on plots sized 2.5m x 2.5m in the form of harvested dry maize cob production (called JTKP for Jagung Tongkol Kering Panen). 4. The conversion rate of harvested dry maize cob (JTKP) to dry-shelled maize (JPK) with a 14 percent moisture content using the results of the Maize Conversion Survey, which was conducted in 2020 (SKJG 2020). 5. Shelled maize harvested area and dry-shelled maize production with a 14 percent moisture content (JPK-KA14%) in Kepulauan Bangka Belitung 2024 is close to zero. 6.
