Abstract

The 2025 work cycle of Statistics Indonesia (BPS) reflects a fully integrated institutional commitment, transitioning from the strengthening of internal governance to the realization of a trusted "One Data" national system. At the foundational level, BPS solidified this commitment by implementing the Government Agency Performance Accountability System (SAKIP) starting in January 2025. This initial step involved setting indicator targets through the formulation of the 2025 Performance Agreement (PK), aligned with the review of the BPS Strategic Plan for 2025–2029. Concurrently, between January and February 2025, BPS prepared its 2024 Performance Report (LAKIN) through a tiered process. This process went beyond merely gathering achievement data from central and regional units; it included an in-depth analysis of factors facilitating or hindering target achievement, culminating in transparent publication on the BPS Public Information and Documentation Management (PPID) website to uphold public trust. Once the annual accountability foundation was established, the BPS Planning Bureau coordinated efforts to ensure a uniform understanding of the SAKIP methodology across the country. In March 2025, online technical guidance was conducted for SAKIP teams from all Echelon I and II units as well as provincial BPS offices to enhance regional human resource capacity. This support and guidance continued through June and July 2025 via interactive discussion forums designed to oversee the completion of performance measurement worksheets. Periodic control mechanisms were implemented through quarterly monitoring meetings, with results uploaded to the internal BPS portal (Sinergi). The compiled data undergoes regular evaluation to determine strategies for improving agency performance and serves as a key resource for BPS in actively coordinating with the Ministry of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform (PANRB) to fulfill all documentation requirements for the Government Agency Performance Accountability (AKIP) evaluation. These sustained efforts have yielded significant results in the implementation of Bureaucratic Reform (RB) and the establishment of Integrity Zones (ZI); notably, BPS successfully achieved a Bureaucratic Reform Index score of 91.31 points, surpassing its long-term target for 2029. This cycle concludes in December 2025 with the internalization of the 2025 Performance Accountability Report (LAKIN) preparation process and preliminary preparations for the 2026 Performance Contract (PK).
