Abstract

The 2025 Intercensal Population Survey (SUPAS 2025), covering 664,640 households, provides an up-to-date picture of Indonesia’s demographic and social conditions. Fertility indicators show TFR of 2.13 children per woman and CBR of 16.18 births per 1,000 population. Mortality indicators include IMR of 14.12, CMR of 2.29, and U5MR of 16.38 per 1,000 live births, while MMR stands at 144 per 100,000 live births. Population mobility remains high, with 4 million recent migrants, 25.8 million lifetime migrants, and 11 million commuters. Persons aged 60 years and over account for 11.97 percent of the population, indicating that Indonesia has entered the ageing population phase. These findings provide an important basis for population policy planning and evaluation.
