In August 2024, the import value reached US$20,665.2 million, down US$1,071.2 million (4.93 percent) compared to the previous month. Likewise, import volume fell 8.51 percent to 20,482.7 thousand tons. The import value in August 2024 consists of oil and gas imports of US$2,648.4 million (12.82 percent) and non-oil and gas imports of US$18,016.8 million (87.18 percent) Imports in August 2024 were dominated by China at USD45,406.0 million, with a role of 35.52 percent. Meanwhile, the unloading port in DKI Jakarta Province is still the main unloading place for imported goods in Indonesia worth USD 69,862.6 million (45.95 percent).
