Telecommunication Statistics in Indonesia 2022

According to a National Socioeconomic Survey 2022, 66.48 percent of Indonesian population accessed the internet in 2022 and 62.10 percent in 2021. The high use of the internet reflected a climate of information openness and the acceptance of society to the development of technology and changes toward the information society. The high number of internet users in Indonesia was inseparable from the rapid development of cellular phones. In 2022, 67.88 percent of inhabitants in Indonesia owning/using at least one active cellular phone number. This value has increased compared to 2021 with only 65.87 percent.
