Population projections are scientific calculations based on population growth rates assumption components, such as births, deaths, and migration, which determine the future population size and age structure. There are some requirements to establish the assumption: data describing trends from the past to the present, factors influencing each component, the relationship between each component, and targets expected to be achieved in the future.
