Abstract

Transportation plays an important role in supporting trade distribution activities. International Merchandise Trade Statistics (IMTS) recommends presenting data exports & imports of goods by mode of transportation at the most detailed commodity level to monitor the transportation routes of goods and for policy formulation in the transportation sector. During 2021, Indonesia's total imports will increase 38.58 percent to US$196,190.1 million. Sea transportation is the main mode of transporting imported goods worth US$172,736.0 million (88.05 percent), up 39.97 percent compared to 2020. Indonesia's import activities still depend on the main ports on the island of Java, especially Tanjung Priok Port with a loading value of US$$75,786.3 million
