Early Childhood Profile 2021

Early age is a golden phase of a child's growth period where the brain's capacity is maximally developed in children's intellectual, emotional, and social dimensions. Quality early childhood development is widely recognized as the most important major investment in human development in Indonesia. Informing a quality gold generation, an accurate, comprehensive, and reliable data map is needed for stakeholders to determine the direction of the next development steps. Starting from this phenomenon, BPS tries to accommodate the need for early childhood data by making it happen in the form of the 2021 Early Childhood Profile Publication. This book is a publication that contains information about early childhood through various aspects according to the child rights protection cluster, such as civil rights and freedom; family environment and alternative care; basic health and well-being; education, use of leisure and cultural activities, and special protection. The data used in this publication are sourced from data from the 2021 National Socio-Economic Survey (Susenas), Susenas Socio-Cultural and Education Module (MSBP) in 2018, and secondary data from Ministries/Institutions.
