Abstract

The 2020 Domestic Tourism Statistics Publication is an annual routine publication prepared and presented by BPS-Statistics Indonesia. This publication containing the profile of domestic tourists, the purpose of the travel, the accommodations used, the length of travel, and the average of expenditures related to trips made by residents within the territory of Indonesia. Unlike the previous publications, the data presented in this publication is based on Mobile Phone Data (MPD) and the 2020 Digital Domestic Tourist Survey. The digital survey was carried out in all Kabupaten/Kota in Indonesia by sending a questionnaire link prepared on the web survey. The change in data collection methods used was due to the fact that using MPD was proven to be more accurate, more granular, faster, and efficient than direct surveys to household.
