Abstract

In Indonesia, there is a phenomenon of workers with permanent and non-permanent mobility which are further divided into several types. This publication focuses on discussing the three types of recent migrant workers, commuters, and circulars. When viewed in general proportions, from the total workforce of 138.2 million people in 2020, there are 3.7% of recent migrant workers; 5.5% of commuter workers; and 1.8% circular workers. In addition, this publication also discusses the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the working status of workers, both permanent and non-permanent mobility workers.
