Abstract

Staple Food Consumption Study 2017 presents information on the level of consumption of rice, corn, soybeans, beef or buffalo, chicken meat, chicken eggs orduck eggs, fresh cow's milk, fresh fish, shallots, and chili, whether processed inside or outside the household. Household consumption data is obtained from Susenas, while consumption outside of household is obtained from the Staple Food Consumption Survey which includes hotels, restaurants and catering, food stalls and other food and beverage service activities, manufacture of food products, and health services (hospital). Based on the study, the total of national rice consumption in 2017 reached 29.13 million tons or around 111.58 kilograms per capita per year.
