Abstract

In November 2018 the value of imports reached USD16,901.8 million, down 4.33 percent (USD765.8 million) compared to the previous month. Similarly, the volume decreased by 1.91 percent to 15,618.8 thousand tons. The November 2018 import value consisted of oil and gas imports of USD2,866.7 million and non-oil and gas imports of USD14,035.1 million. The main origin countries were China (23.69 percent) of the total import values ​​from January to October 2018, followed by Singapore (11.49 percent), and Japan (9.60 percent). Judging from the use of economic goods, raw / auxiliary material imports were still dominated by USD 130,360.9 million (75.20 percent), followed by capital goods of USD 27,271.0 million (15.73 percent), and consumer goods of USD 15,714 , 4 million (9.07 percent).
According to the SITC (Standard International Trade Classification) 1 class of goods, the main group of imported goods is the group of machinery and transportation equipment with a value of USD54,811.5 million (31.62 percent). During January-November 2018 the ports found in the DKI Jakarta Province were still the place to unload the main imported goods in Indonesia with a portion of 49.80 percent (USD86,328.5 million).
