Abstract

In September 2018 the import value reached USD14,610.1 million, down 13.13 percent (USD2,208.0 million) compared to the previous month. The volume also get down of 17.32 percent to 12,860.8 thousand tons. The import value in September 2018 consists of oil and gas imports of USD2,290.6 million and non-oil and gas USD12,319.5 million.Of the total import value from January to September 2018, the main country of origin is occupied by China (23.53 percent), followed by Singapore (11.54 percent), and Japan (9.61 percent). Judging from the category of economic goods usage, still dominated by imports of raw/auxiliary materials amounting to USD104,079.9 million (75.00 percent), followed by capital goods USD21,919.5 million (15.79 percent), and consumer goods USD12,777.4 million (9.21 percent).According to the category of SITC (Standard International Trade Classification) 1 item, the main group of imported goods is a group of machinery and transportation equipment with a value of USD44,054.4 million (31.74 percent). During January-September 2018 the ports in DKI Jakarta Province were still the main loading and unloading of imported goods in Indonesia with a portion of 50.04 percent (USD69,443.9 million).
