Fisheries is an agricultural sub-sector that has an important role in meeting the consumption and nutrition needs of the people in Indonesia. The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) collects data on fish production landed at the Traditional Wharf (PIT) site. The amount of PIT according to the levy collectors is divided into 5 parties, namely Regional Government, Fisheries Service, Private Sector, KUB (Joint Business Group), and Others such as illegal levies, etc. Of the 62 PIT sites, 48 percent were collected by the Department of Fisheries. In 2017, the volume of marine fishery production landed in the PIT was 6.14 million quintals. While the production value is 10.02 Trillion.
