Foreign Trade Statistical Bulletin Imports, April 2018

In April 2018 the value of imports reached USD16,162.3 million, up 11.74 percent (USD1.698.7 million) compared to the previous month. Likewise, the volume increased 14.06 percent to 14,804.2 thousand tons. The import value of April 2018 consists of oil and gas imports of USD2.328.2 million and non-oil and gas USD13.834.1 million.

The main origin countries of total import value from January to April 2018, are China (23.27 percent), followed by Singapore (10.84 percent) and Japan (9.96 percent). In terms of economic goods, dominated imports of raw materials / auxiliaries of USD44.850.5 million (74.60 percent), followed by capital goods USD9.824.3 million (16.34 percent) and consumer goods USD5.446, 0 million (9.06 percent).

According to the SITC (Standard International Trade Classification) 1st grade category, the main import goods group is the group of machines and transportation equipment with a value of USD19,429.2 million (32.32 percent). During January-April 2018 the ports in DKI Jakarta province were still the main unloading place in Indonesia with 51.86 percent (USD31,176.9 million).
